Hopeatähti is a film club tailored for the elderly. Although the club is targeted for seniors, it is open to viewers of all ages. Hopeatähti screenings take place in Joensuu, Savonlinna, Iisalmi, Varkaus and Kitee.
 
Screenings are held during early daytime. In Joensuu, Varkaus and Iisalmi the film is introduced briefly prior to screening and it is possible to stay at the theatre after the screening has ended to discuss the film. While Hopeatähti is called a film club, it requires no registration and there is no fee to join. The screenings are the same price as a regular movie ticket. We recommend reserving a seat in advance, especially in Tapio, in Joensuu.

Tickets can be purchased and reserved in advance from our webstore or at the theatre ticket counter. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Savon Kinot office during weekdays at 9 to 16, the phone number is (013) 285 762. It is recommended to purchase reserved seats well in advance to screening.
