Hopeatähti is a film club tailored for the elderly. Although the club is targeted for seniors, it is open to viewers of all ages. Hopeatähti screenings take place in Joensuu, Savonlinna, Iisalmi, Varkaus and Kitee.
 
Screenings are held during early daytime. In Joensuu and Savonlinna the film is introduced briefly prior to screening, and in Joensuu it is possible to stay at the theatre after the screening has ended to discuss the film. While Hopeatähti is called a film club, it requires no registration and there is no fee to join. The screenings are the same price as a regular movie ticket. We recommend reserving a seat in advance, especially in Tapio, in Joensuu.
